Renee Dwyer, LMT - Massage Therapist
Born and raised in the Boston area, I grew up in a very musical and artistic household. I studied classical ballet from ages 8-16, and during my training I experienced various injuries that left me fascinated with the worlds of physical therapy and massage. I retained this enthusiasm for anatomy and kinesiology throughout high school. In 2019, I moved to Chicago and earned my BFA in Musical Theater with an Emphasis in Dance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. After graduating in 2023, I performed in a few shows around the city before suffering another injury that led to a temporary relocation and multiple surgeries.
During this time, I rediscovered my interest in massage and made the decision to put performing on the back burner for a year to pursue a license in massage therapy. In early 2024, I began studying at the New School for Massage, Bodywork, and Healing in River North.
I received my license in early 2025, and am eager and excited to learn from the other wonderful practitioners here at AHG. I am passionate about listening actively and attentively to patients and their bodies in order to deliver care that will get them closer to their goals. My approach focuses on relieving patterns of restriction in the body, reducing stress and improving bodily functions through activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, and fostering a stronger mind-body connection.
