Serena Seyburn, Sound Therapy Practitioner
After earning her B.A. in Neuroscience, Serena supported diverse research teams investigating clinical outcomes following traumatic brain injury and identifying effective pharmacotherapies for preventing opioid relapse, contributing to meaningful discoveries in neuropharmacology and cognitive rehabilitation. She has since gained extensive experience in clinical settings, working closely with patients and physicians to enrich her practical knowledge, refine her approach to patient care, and serve as a dedicated clinical supervisor.
Now a certified Sound Practitioner through the SoundEmbrace Institute, Serena integrates her background in health and neuroscience to support individuals facing various challenges addressed with sound therapy, with a particular focus on stress management and improving personal control of attention. Serena’s approach to use sound therapy to activate the parasympathetic nervous system and slow down brainwave states creates a state of consciousness for participants that opens up opportunity to strengthen mind-body connections, empowering themselves to recognize their unique cognitive processes and develop meditation skills to foster lasting growth.
